Primary Care Guide

Welcome to the new Primary Care Project page

Many doctors play down the importance of Primary care. Those who work here are often considered “inferior”.

Many of them never worked in a Klinik Kesihatan or served in district yet.  Well, primary care in my view is the most important of all.
It is in these clinics where problems are first detected, treated and worked up, before being referred to tertiary centre.

Hence, Medical Officers serving in these clinics need to have a wide range of knowledge, a jack of all trades, be able to detect early signs and symptoms, and then refer to hospitals immediately for proper care. It is not easy, and you can never know everything in Medicine.

In this section, I will upload guides for my latest project.

Hopefully, this may aid fresh Medical Officers in their daily work.

Yours truly,

DR Gerard
